Well, here I am doing what I never thought I'd be doing... blogging. Ugh! I don't even like that term. It sounds so "trendy." I'm proud to say that's one thing I don't think I've ever been known for - following trends. I like to be my own person.
So why am I here? Well, simply put, I'm here to share what I think God has been telling me. No I don't hear an audible voice. No, I'm not crazy. But yes, I hear Him. Deep within my soul I hear Him speak... to me. I don't have a theology degree, I haven't studied ancient Greek or Hebrew or Aramaic. I have simply spent time reading the Bible. And yet, I hear him speak. I guess what I'm saying is that you don't have to be a scholar to understand or to hear God. You just have to be willing to put in the time to get to know him through his word and you'll begin to hear His voice as well.
I'm not special. I'm just me. Yet, God still chooses to speak to me. I find it sad that so many in society think God only speaks to pastors and priests - but not to regular people. He wants to speak to you - but you have to listen! So, take some time, right now - sit quietly in a room and just listen. Listen closely. He has something to say to you today. But listen, really listen. .....That little flutter you just felt in your heart is just the beginning of hearing God speak.
